Terms of Service

By creating an account, installing the extension, or otherwise using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

BaseTab is a browser extension that transforms your new tab page into a customizable workspace with widgets, bookmarks, and productivity tools. The Service includes:

• The BaseTab Chrome extension
• The basetab.ai website and dashboard
• Cloud sync functionality for workspaces and widget data
• Optional third-party integrations (Google Calendar, Gmail, AI services, etc.)

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

BaseTab offers both free and paid subscription plans. For paid plans:

• Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We never store your credit card details.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your paid features will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@basetab.ai for refund requests.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to it
• Upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Use the Service to collect personal information of other users without their consent
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service without our written permission
• Abuse AI credits or automated features in a way that degrades the service for others

BaseTab allows you to connect third-party services (such as Google Calendar, Gmail, and AI providers). When using these integrations:

• You are responsible for providing your own API credentials and complying with the third party's terms of service.
• Third-party data is fetched directly by the extension and stored locally in your browser. We do not access, store, or transmit this data.
• We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of third-party services.
• You may revoke third-party access at any time from widget settings.

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by BaseTab (Generatech Studio, Inc.) and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you create within the Service (notes, bookmarks, etc.).

You retain all rights to content you create or upload to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, sync, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will not use your content for any other purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BaseTab and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
• We may delete your account data after a reasonable retention period
• Local data stored in your browser will remain until you uninstall the extension

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
